Professor Kevin Jialin Sun is an associate professor of accounting at the St. John’s University. Before joining St. John’s, he held quantitative research and portfolio management positions at various hedge fund and asset management firms, including a Vice President and Senior Quantitative Analyst position at AllianceBernstein. His articles have appeared at the Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance, Journal of Applied Finance, Journal of Forensic Accounting Research, European Accounting Review, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, and Research in Accounting in Emerging Economies. Dr. Sun was an assistant professor at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and an auditor with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Shanghai. He earned a Ph.D. in accounting from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Dr. Sun is a CFA charter holder.
